Happy first week of term, everyone! I hope classes are going well so far. Spellcrafting II students, remember your first mini-paper is due next Friday; please don't wait until the last minute to start. If you need help, feel free to drop by my office hours -- but bring along either a concrete idea or an outline. I'm not going to feed your paper to you.
Speculative Fiction students, a quick announcement: I've just gotten the necessary forms pushed through to marathon Iron Man and Batman Begins next Saturday as part of our "Heroic Origins" unit in Speculative Fiction II. There's a sign up outside my office, and while, of course, students outside the course are welcome to come, preference will be given to those enrolled in Speculative Fiction. The viewing isn't required, but I do recommend it: the films are part of your required materials, and we'll be having a post-film discussion after each to examine some of the primary themes.
As always, my door is always open if you have any questions.

Students -
I hope everyone's holiday has been restful! I'm a bit late in mentioning it, but for next term my classes will be expanded into second and third tiers: along with Spellcrafting I and II, I will be offering Spellcrafting III; as a companion to Speculative Fiction I, I will be teaching Speculative Fiction II. Both courses are a further digression into their respective fields, with Spellcrafting III having a particular emphasis on independent study. I welcome anyone with an interest in magic to enroll in Spellcrafting, though I imagine more of you will be inclined towards Speculative Fiction, considering your recent time travelling. We'll be using extra-literary material this term, including graphic novels, television, film, and art, and I'd be happy to discuss the material before term if anyone has any questions.
Again, I hope everyone is having a good break, and I look forward to the start of term.

I hope everyone is managing all right. From the vast majority of updates, you all seem to be acclimating to the best of your ability. We're working over here to get you back, but just stick it out a little longer as best you can.
I can't issue them for everyone lost in the continuum, but as some of you are in more life-threatening situations than most, I'll do what I can. I'm currently writing up a more sustainable protection spell -- one that should have some degree of potency even in an alternate dimension. For those groups that need them, you'll all have to be in one place at one time when I cast the spell. Again, I cannot do this for everyone, so I will need only those groups whose lives are in recognizable, immediate danger to let me know.
If there's anything else you need spell-wise, please tell me now while I'm stocking up on supplies.
